How to Enable Email Forwarding in Outlook on the Web
Applies to: Outlook on the Web (outlook.office.com)
What Is Email Forwarding?
Email forwarding allows you to automatically send incoming messages from your Outlook account to another email address. This is useful if you want to consolidate multiple inboxes, monitor another account, or make sure you do not miss important messages when using a different email provider.
IT support often recommends email forwarding when employees need to temporarily monitor another account, transition between accounts, or ensure messages are backed up in an alternate inbox.

- Test Your Setup: Send a test message to your Outlook account and confirm it is received at the forwarding address.
- Security Considerations: Only forward to trusted email addresses, since forwarded mail may include sensitive or confidential information.
- Admin Controls: Some organizations restrict email forwarding for compliance reasons. If you do not see the option, contact your IT support team.
